The first session is also known as an intake session. During this session, we talk more in depth about your life up until now and what brought you to therapy. I view the first session as not only as a chance for me to understand what brought you in, but also as an opportunity for you to get to know me and see if you feel comfortable. A good relationship with your therapist is the most important factor for therapy to go well, so it is up to you to assess if we are compatible and work well together.
Treatment Agreement & Informed Consent
If you wish to continue and start therapy, I will send you the Treatment Agreement and the Informed Consent, where you can find more information about confidentiality, ethical codes of conduct, payment terms, cancellation policies, etc. After reading and signing these documents, we can go ahead and have the first session.

The therapeutic process
Trust, transformation and change typically don’t happen fast. That’s why is a gradual process that unfold over months or years. That time is necessary to build a strong connection with the therapist and yourself, create a space where healing can happen, unravel complex patterns, heal wounds and make lasting change – all at your own pace. Remember, your rhythm is sacred.

Closing this therapy chapter
There will come a time when you feel you don’t need to come in anymore. Perhaps you want to come less frequently, stop for a period of time or continue your journey alone or with other forms of guidance and care. You know what is best for you.
